Hi Guys,

Our TomTom has just died on us finally and we need a replacement. Ideally one we can grab from Argos or similar as need it for a long distance journey tomorrow. Not fussed about price so much as long as it's not silly, just need something reliable and quick.

Thanks

Definitely use your smartphone if you have one, Waze or Google Maps. Even better if you have a car that is Android Auto or Apple Play compatible, will be able to use on in car display then, rather than your phone in a cradle.

You'll need a data connection on your phone, unless you pre-load the maps before setting off (but the benefit with a data connection is up to date traffic information for routing).

Not heard of it, any good?
Very good, generally decent routing (easily on par with any TomTom or Garmin I've used), live crowdsourced traffic information, camera warnings, hazard updates (stopped vehicles, roadkill, potholes) etc.

It's top notch, personally wouldn't even contemplate wasting money on a dedicated sat nav these days.
