Spec me a new SSD

Wanting to replace my windows SSD as it looks like im due a windows reinstall. Currently boot from a WD Blue 250Gb

Looking for probably 2Tb so that i can use it for both Windows and the few games i play. Currently looking at the WD Black.

nah, it's pretty decent. the next step up would be ssds with a dram cache.
(the sn770 is a dram-less ssd)
just go ahead and get it

I would get one with the dram cache, but nothing wrong with your choice.

For that budget I'd rather get a solid mid-range 1 or 2tb SSD than a high-end 500gb SSD.
The sn580 2tb for £85 or so would be my choice.
You can never have too much SSD capacity

is that NVMe drive the desktop has only SATA connections so wont take the newer NVMe drives

Ah then just get a 1 or 2tb sata SSD. Prices should be similar, though I haven't specifically looked myself

Cheers all, ended up getting the SN770 WD Black, but just went with the 500Gb drive. Plenty for windows and fortnite.

All the other games can stay on the 1Tb samsung ssd

All installed and works great
