The 55" e7 was the same price around this time last year. I got mine from Peter Tyson on black friday for £1500

Peter Tyson currently has the Lg55E8 for £1799 after cashback guys. I believe its just this weekend.

You don't need more than 1 port if you own a soundbar or AVR.

I've only ever had 1 HDMI plugged into any TV.

Very true, and if you're spending 3K on a TV, I really hope you're also investing in a decent sound system to pair with it (if you haven't already).

Yes already have an AVR and my Kef speakers..

But there a big chance I be moving into a flat next year and I most likely no want my AVR & Kef speakers setup..

Awesome - if you need somewhere to store them let me know

In all seriousness, they're worth keeping as you still get the chance to use them

If space is the concern however, it's a different story. A soundbar setup may suit

Edit: I've got a 2.1 system in my flat - it doesn't look silly at all. You could even look into the Sonos amp, as it'll take up even less space.
