hi, got around £40 ish to play with.

i bought a cheapo from argos and it's now completely knackered (ripped and the soft bits are compressed to the point of it being hard!).

so... any recommendations? many thanks! :)

its way out of your budget, but the staples kashmir microfibre is the chair to go for if you want comfort. having tried the conrad and kashmir in one of the staples stores i much preferred the kashmir

whatever you do, make sure you sit on the thing before you buy it. i went to a couple of office supply type shops and literally sat on every single chair to see what i liked best. for me it was the kashmir, but it might be something else for you

I'm heading to staples tommorow to try find a new chair as my current one is broken. Hopefully i dont get tempted by the kashmir:D.

i fear you might be. this is from the staples kashmir thread in GD:
I know it's sad, but when I bought my lunch the other day I actually went into Staples again just so I could sit in it. haha.

Good thread, chair is perhaps the most important aspect of PC gaming as, if you're not comfortable you can't relax enough to play. Plus other things such as DVT, Compression Headaches (occipital neuralgia), poor posture etc.

"ALFA ROMEO GTV CAR SEAT OFFICE CHAIR BLACK LEATHER"

This is what I use. It has no arms though, but it is a real seat out of an alfa romeo. It looks pretty cool and people ask about it when they see it :)

Most importantly it is comfy and it seems like it will last forever...

As someone has said about car seats, mount a car seat on the current pc chairs place

I've got a leather Honda crx chair in mines and it's super comfy and looks amazing, even my mum agreed its really comfy haha

Plus you get the bonus of knowing you made your chair :)

I was thinking of a Staples chair for myself, did sit in quite a few seats, and for £100, the available seats to try out, I was quite tempted at the time, but thought I would look around other places first, but then if Staples is the best place, might go back there at some point to try them out again before I purchase one there
