Hmm.

I wouldn't second that spec, the PSU is overkill.
Motherboard is old chipset and won't support the new intel processors

I will make a spec :)

Edit: Specced!!

This should last you long enough to also refer to it as 'old'...

Spec'd 2GB ram cause don't know which Vista version you have. Also, might be some price drops on the C2Q soon.

thanx good spec however i was wondering maybe the evga 680 mobo..

I would recommend one of the newer chipset boards, as they support Intels upcoming Penryn Processors and are better boards all round to be honest:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) - Retail
Noctua NH-U12F (Socket LGA775/754/939/940/AM2) Heatsink
Gigabyte GA_P35C_DS3R (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 & DDR3 Motherboard
CellShock 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 PC2-6400C4 800MHz Dual Channel Kit X2
Western Digital Caviar SE16 320GB 3200AAKS SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM X2
BFG GeForce 8800 GTX OC 768MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail
Samsung SH-183LBEBN 18x18 DVD±RW Dual Layer Serial ATA Lightscribe
Creative X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Fatal1ty Professional 7.1 Soundcard - Retail
Corsair HX 520W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU

Total : £1,146.61

Or

Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 "LGA775 Kentsfield" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) - Retail
CellShock 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 PC2-6400C4 800MHz Dual Channel Kit

Total : £1,194.80

Or depending on what version you have of Vista, if you only have the 32Bit Version, drop the 4GB down to 2GB and maybe up the CPU to a Quad Core.

Jaffa's spec is probbaly what i would choose apart from maybe adding a sound card if your gonna be using it for gaming. Also with the budget you got you could get an GTX Ultra although some people think its too much for the extra performance it gives.
