Well it's about that time where I've got some spare cash and have decided to upgrade my pc.

I've got about £1500 to spend, on a gaming rig.

and the list of things that I need are as follows:

Motherboard
Processor
RAM
Graphics Card

I think thats the main things though off the top of my head.

Any help is appreciated.

you would have a monster :)

9800GX2 isn't worth SLI'ing as quad SLI sucks. Crossfire scales better than SLI in most cases and even AMD don't get much of their fourth card :(.

If you game at 1920x1200 or higher then I might recommend 2x 8800GTX's as at the top resolutions with AA/AF/HDR applied as the 9800GX2 can slow down and practically hiccup when compared to twin 8800GTX's. The 8800 cards have better bandwidth.

If you are on lets say 1920x1200/1920x1440 then the GX2 might be enough with heaps of AA/AF etc. Any higher then I'd get the 8800GTX's.

No point wasting tons of money for quad if it's going to be mainly gaming PC.
Case is subject to change to your personal preference.
For the spare money get yourself 24-26" monitor if you aint got one yet or something else.

This should clock to 3.8ghz without probs and will last you for 1,5year no prob and you gonna save a lot of money which you can spend later for upgrade when new stuff comes out.

Don't waste too much money on unnecessary stuff now when nehalem is on its way :). And this PC is more than fine.
