Spec me a permanent fine nib white marker pen

It depends, if it is a blank white t-shirt, then yes it is expensive (unless you have to have some fancy fabric because cotton makes you bleed). Otherwise, most t-shirts with logos/brands on are generally around £15-30 (I have a few Animal t-shirts that cost around that).

Although if you have managed to let spaghetti bolognese cause such a permanent stain, maybe you should be wearing primarni clothes so you can just chuck 'em out and buy another :)

It's not the price thats the point.
If it's stained then it's stained, trying to cover over the stains with pen just isnt going to work. save the money and put it towards a new one

Yeh that's true.. OP you're going to have to buy a few pens so you can colour in the entire t-shirt, otherwise it will look uneven

OP's list of fail:

Fail#1 - not being able to feed his face without missing

Fail#2 - can't work out how to use the spinny round splashy thing

Fail#3 - thinking a white pen is the best idea to remedy the situation

Fail#4 - having to ask a forum of strangers where to buy said pen

I lolled. However, maybe he got the stains from splashback

EDIT before innuendo central: I meant splashback when cooking.. when the sauce spits at you.. right?

I hope you guys realise that getting rid of these stains is a matter of life or death.

I think you're right about ink drying hard, probably not worth doing that. But not sure if bleaching would ruin the print and silver buttons. Can I get such a thing as a bleach pen to spot dab?

Here's the top, just washed and a bit damp still. It was bought as a present for me years ago. I quite like it and I think it's worth saving, plsu it has my initials. Couldn't have cost that much, it's got Matalan on the label.:p It is 100% cotton though.

So here's a closeup of the stains.

What do you reckon? Bleach pen, live with it or bin it?

I think I just had a "what the hell is my life moment" when I realised I'm sitting here on an internet forum, looking at a closeup picture of a white t-shirt with small brown stains on.

Anyway, glad that moment is over now. Back OT, where abouts on the t-shirt are the stains located (can't see any on the first picture?).

Try a diluted hydrogen peroxide solution. Not sure about the dilution so best test on hidden part of the fabric.

Only thing I can think will shift pesky ragù if the dilution is good.

Bin it and remember never to wear white when eating spagbol and if you do and get it on you top soak it imediately once dried your finished.

Diluted hydrogen peroxide solution is a possibility, yeah, might try that.
My dear mum suggested buying Dr.Beckmann stain remover and soaking it in that, but I don't think it'll make any difference as the stains have been in the shirt for too long.

There's also Dylon white fabric paint which might work.

You should try putting the t-shirt outside in daylight/sunshine to see if it helps. The sauce probably contains quite a bit of tomato which is hard to get out. Tomato stains break down with UV light.

Maybe this should be a 'spec me a UV torch' thread ;)
