Cannot get cable in our building. So a phone line and ISP are required. Virgin Media are ok but still need to get a BT line in and rent that as well as the ISP. Does anyone know any ISPs that do the line and internet as one package.

Virgin Media offers phone, TV, broadband and mobile. In fact, my housemate phoned VM and was able to get a brand new contract (on a new house) of 4 mbit broadband and phone with free TV for £27 /month.

EDIT: You must live in an area where VM cannot supply phone. :(

I think that unless you can get cable to your house, then all of the phonelines are managed by BT, or BT wholesale, so unless you go with BT, doubt any company can give you both services through them.

And I wouldn't recommend anyone go with BT Broadband! I used IDNet on ADSL, never had any problems with them.

Your choice of Virgin Free TV or Free Wireless Kit

What you need

A BT Line
Credit card or Direct Debit facility
A broadband modem or router
A PC or Mac which meets the minimum specifications

Still need to rent a BT line you see. So Virgin don't do it all as one. What they do is a package of free calls. On top of your broadband package.

But even so I reckons it's the best deal going. I have basically answered my own question now.

Virgin Media's ADSL service is crap - I'd suggest looking at threads both on here and on thinkbroadband.

Common suggestions on here are the Enta resellers or IDNet/Zen/Newnet if you're not planning on downloading a huge amount.
