Spec me a picture resizing programme

I want to resize some pictures from my digital camera so they arent such large files and I can email them easier. Can somebody recommend me a good (preferably free) programme to do this. I also want to be able to use one of the pictures as an avatar on another forum.
Am not too technologically able so something simple would be good.
Any ideas?

Microsoft Image Resizer Powertoy is good, just right click the image and choose resize image and choose size.

Download this mate it's Microsofts Image Resizer and it's free just right click on your jpg and select your size Job done.....

Or if you don't like willy gates - irfanview is the best image viewer / batch resizer / quick editor about.

irfanview is a simple one

or paint.net (http://www.getpaint.net/index2.html) is a free image manipulation application, does most things, and there is a save as web function.
