spec me a pillow

Didn't think I'd see a thread on speccing someone a pillow.

Nope, wait, I did.

Probably one of the more sensible spec me topics seeing as you spend so much time in bed. Might as well be the most comforatble you can be.

I seriously recommend the Dunlopillo latex foam pillow. Very comfortable and never loses shape or flattens, expensive at £50 but worth every penny IMO.

Exactly, most people spend most of their life in bed. Nice to have recommendations on something everyone uses in their lifestyle.

Have to agree with this so much. I was hesitant to spend a lot of money on a decent foam mattress.

I ended up spending more than I originally wanted, and I can quite confidently say it was money well spent. I don't wake up feeling as tired anymore.

Our John Lewis pillows are good. They're very heavy/dense which I quite like but I haven't had to wash them yet. If that ends badly I'll keep an eye on this thread.
Actually, would it make sense to have pillows dry cleaned rather than try them in the washer?

It probably costs more to dry clean than buying new ones. We recently asked our local DC franchise how much to clean a king size duvet and were told £24.99. I was expecting maybe £7 - £8... Could buy a new one for not much more than that!

Welcome to the disposable society.

Welcome to the disposable society.

I do have washable pillows and duvet... washing machine - perfect :)

Hopefully we'll move away from disposable society, perhaps a bit of a silver lining in the cloud that resource scarcity will be.

I haven't been at my house much to use them unfortunately, however I was in my bed for the first time last night and they were great. :)

I think I should have went for the thicker quilt, but it is warm so I am sure I will get used to them, but the pillows are perfect! :)
