Just looking at 1TB portable drives and narrowed it down to three...
I imagine they're all very similar.

WD my Passport 1TB ~£45.00
WD my passport Ultra ~£54.00
Transcend Jetflash ~£50.00
Seagate backup plus ~£50.00 (will get a £5 voucher back) meaning £45.00 really.

I only want it for back ups ( I have an old Toshiba 1TB desktop drive that has an image of mine and my sons PC ) but was wondering if the software that comes with the Ultra is worth paying the extra £10.00 for over the normal WD.

I wont be taking this anywhere with me really, just plug in once a week for back ups.

Must be USB 3.0

I have a WD Passport 2 TB Ultra drive and its fantastic, the SW is very easy to use and when used via usb3 it is ninja quick so I can confidently recommend the WD Passport drives.
