Hi,
I am looking for some advice on a HD Projector for bedroom viewing. I have no space on the wall for a TV due to a hatch & ladders that provide accesses to the attic obscuring that wall; so a projector would be ideal.

A 1080P picture would be preferred, but I would settle on a good quality 720P if I had to.

Quiet operation is a must due to the fact that I will be positioning the projector on the bedside table.

I have looked at a few models but none that I found seemed to have a sleep timer mode. This would be a great feature to preserve the bulb life & turn off the projector once I have fallen asleep.

Two HDMI slots would be required.

One for a Raspberry Pi Linux PC (When I get one), and the other for either a Freeview box or PS3

My budget is £500-600.

Thanks.

I've always found Optoma HD DLP (darkchip) based projectors excellent for this kind of use... but if your worried about bulb life a LED projector would be better tho last time I checked good quality 720p and higher res ones weren't exactly very affordable.

I started with a 720p DLP projector with a slightly under 100" projection and moved to a 1080p one but didn't find for movies and light gaming useage there was enough of a difference at the normal viewing range for this kind of use to make it worth it and went back to my old projector but your mileage may vary.
