Looking for P21W bulb advice to replace the useless OEM reversing lamp bulb in my Duster as the dark nights are creeping in and I’m often having to reverse in near absolute darkness as I live out in the sticks.

My current workarounds are putting on the single rear fog light and riding the brake pedal to throw a little more light rear wards.

Not looking to fit an additional lamp or mess around with the vehicle wiring.

I replaced mine with LED from Aliexpress if you can wait a few weeks for delivery, make sure it is a Canbus one though to avoid bulb out errors. I also have coded my high level brake light to come on in reverse as well and that hels more than I thought.

LED won't always work out of the box, somtimes you need to rewire the plug and reverse the polarity. I had that issue on my Abarth with 21W LEDs.

I stuck a 6" spotlight hooked up to a relay on a Mk2 Golf I had years ago - trust me, then you can see where you are reversing.

Amazon have a night vision reversing camera for the Duster.
No actual pictures of the camera output though, just throwing an option onto the table.

I had a test drive of a Duster a few years ago, first car I had driven with a reversing camera, it looked useful.
Then I tried not to tip it over going up the hill at Goodwood.

I missed the reference to Duster in the OP, so I thought you were genuinely advising OP to buy a Dacia Duster instead of worrying about swapping a bulb in his car. Long day, already.
