Spec me a roof box

What did you go for?

Why no trust for the bag type? Or do you mean that one specifically?
We went with https://www.halfords.com/motoring/r...x---grey-518099.html?stockInventory=undefined the wife got some discount with her blue light card too. (£225 with discount)
The bag ones aren't aerodynamic, I have read, so don't flame me if I am wrong, creates lots of drag and fuel consumption is higher. Like I said, I read about that. The other thing is we would prefer something more sturdy, but I have no first hand experience in the bags so can't say if they are sturdy or not. To be fair, short journeys for 1 nigth stay camping or whatever, they might be ok. however, for a 3 hour drive we would prefer a box.
Edit: Plus a box is safer to put the kids in if they start being dicks on the journey.

I find once you move on you cant give these things away so definitely check facebook market etc as I fancied a smaller one more slimline than the big one we have and honestly had it listed as come and get it for free and not one bite it's not like its a no name either it was a Kamei Delphin 470 a £400 quid box a few years ago.

I think we will be using this for a great while. We are planning on getting camping equipment, either later this year or next year. We also have access to a static caravan when ever we want so packing up the roof box for a weekend away is going to be a godsend considering we will be taking the dog everywhere with us.
