Getting somewhat peeved off at this Netgear "N" series thingy that seems to just turn off and not reconnect without warning.
Usually powering it down and then back up again fixes it but I had to venture into the attic to teach it a lesson this time..

It seems to be cowering in cobwebs and playing ball at the moment but my nerves are on a knife edge with it and it should expect the worse should it fall over again

So could you purlease spec me something a bit more rock solid that this god dam thing..

What power protection do you have currently for it as Netgear's tend to be power sensitive and I've replaced quite a few recently for clients who don't even give them surge protection, one's connected to a UPS (yes I know a tad OTT) dont have any issues at all.

I recently changed my DG834GT for a Draytek 2820 and the Netgear was great

What Netgear device - or more to the point, what is it connected to: ADSL, cable, something else? Any budget? Must it do 802.11n?

Ordered :D

It's a Rangemax ADSL2 DG834N

My laptop can only do a, b and g so no actual need for n...

Not sure what device the playstation3 uses mind..

It's probably just overheating if your attic is anything like mine, I start pouring of sweat after being in mine for a couple of mins.

Naa that windy old hole doesn't get hot.

This place was built on the cheap by my dad in 71...

Which reminds me, must look into decent loft insulation and see if I can get a grant for it...
