need a new screen one i was getting is now out of stock , budget of £180 max, used for gaming would like LED, 24in

With that budget and usage I would suggest the ASUS ML239H E-IPS panel monitor or a LG W2363D 120Hz monitor.

Purely for gaming the LG is better since it is uses a TN panel which is more responsive than an E-IPS and it's 120Hz mode can make fast-paced gaming feel smoother (so long as you have a graphics card that can provide a constantly high framerate at 1080p).

However, personally I would go for the ASUS as it is more than fast enough for most peoples gaming needs (apart from people who mainly play competitive fast-paced games) and the greater image quality and viewing angles (thanks to the E-IPS panel) is well worth investing in. Here is an in-depth review. The excellent Dell U2311H is also worth a look, though it is slightly over budget.

Admittedly, neither of these monitors are 24in or LED backlit - but any monitors that have these features either are much more than the budget or aren't nearly as good monitors as the above monitors (and usually both).

or i might get the first choise that was the Asus VE247H... i have found another retailer that sales it, only problem is i like overclockers and i can drive down the road and pick it up :/
