Recently i've been leaving my computer on for longer and longer periods, and i've been hearing a few horror stories about my Xerox monitor, so i'm on the hunt for a screensaver.

I'm after a really highly detailed 3d one, i've just downloaded this one Click me and i like it, the only thing is it doesn't do an awful lot and is payware aswell, so i'm left with a big message to register it.

So your task is to find me one which is:
Highly detailed
3D
Uses my system to it's full potential, possibly?
FREE!

Now go!

Thanks, Sloth

Do Folding or SETI (or what ever its called now) not do a Screensaver version???... You could protect you'r Monitor and Search for 'The cure for cancer'/'Alien Life' at the same time!!!...

A 3D screensaver will just heat up your PC and help kill/wear out your components quicker!! Not to mention it's a complete waste of extra electricity!

Much better imho just to set your monitor to go into standby after 5mins or so.

Agreed!

My system goes to screen saver [the excellent Flurry] after 5 mins idle. After 15 minutes the monitor switches itself off.

I do this because 9 times out of 10 if I have been gone longer than 15 minutes I wont be back for ages so screensaver would be waste of time/energy.

It's prettier than this in real life.
For help setting it up see the guide I wrote or post a new topic in TOSAH. :)
