Spec me a simple laptop friendly game

The obvious games like openttd and rct and other old tycoon/sim games. Old Q3 engined games should be fine too.
Also:
Trials 2
Audiosurf
Geometry Wars.
popcap games like peggle, big money, bejewled, etc...

civ 4? works on my lappy, as well as sim city 3000

oh, and C&C (original) works fine

for the record its an intel 965 graphics chip (nice CPU, good amount of RAM but a **** poor GPU :()

Thanks for the replies guys. Sounds like Uplink is a popular suggestion. I'll look into that. As for OpenTTD I can't figure that out. Don't you still need the original game for it to work?

Sid Meiers Alpha Centauri is still a very addictive game if you let it drag you in, not looking that bad considering it's from '99 either.

Is it bad that it really doesn't seem that long since I was trying it out first? :(

Not sure if these are on steam:

Age of Empires
Commandos Series
Adventure games such as Monkey island and broken sword?

Well I tried this morning to buy Civ3 off Steam only for it to tell me i'm in the wrong country.... duh, you don't say !! It won't let me purchase anything on any of my UK cards

So on the advice of many in this thread I bought Uplink from their own site. It better be worth the ten whole pounds I paid for it :p

Civ3 and Play the Word expansion
Stronghold (The original)
Zoo Tycoon
Sims 2

These should be very fullfilling if and when your bored of the French countryside.
