Spec me a small, battery powered, motion activated camera to catch a mail theif...

As I've said:

First link for a "key finder" Google, £11, job done. I'm sure you can find cheaper/better ones on competitors sites. And they work up to 25m through walls and floors.

Just disguise it as something non-valuable (or even hidden in the jiffy with a fake letter to distract so it'll get chucked in the bin).

Alternatively, mail yourself a USB stick with horrible porn/viruses/something to hijack his computer on.

Why not just one morning wait for the post around a corner, and if someone turns up, bash them with a cricket bat.

Very hard to hide, there is a lift and a fire escape and thats it.

Surely you'd get a really crappy, if any, picture from a camera in the letter box?

My box is at head hight (ooh-eer!) so unless they are <4"5 or >6"7 I should be lucky. The light is good in the post room so I'm hopeful. The lens would be right up to the slot... Most old Symbian phones did have ****e cameras though...

Put metal seets into box so that it makes this shape > with a gap at the pointy end. Mail will go in and only if you open the entire box will you be able to get the > device out + mail. At least it's non lethal.

WalesOwl, Hmmm... Might work.
