If you can stretch a little further look at the Toshiba 32WLT66. Got mine for 570 a few months ago. Might be cheaper now, its a cracking TV.

Definitely the one to get, you can get it for £480 too. It's easily the best in it's range.

Panasonic TX-32LXD60 - just seen for 517 quid plus del.

Beats anything previously mentioned for PQ imo.

Just ordered the LG.. which was difficult as i dont really like LG but it seems to come out on top above the Sammy.. soooo lets hope you guys havnt let me down :)

I got it for £530 inc delivery and a SCART cable.. which i didnt really want. :)

: i noticed you said it dsnt support 1360x768 over DVI why is this?? Does it support it over VGA?
It supports it over DVI and VGA. What it doesn't support is 1360*768 1:1 mapping in DTV mode. If you run your 360 via VGA the LGs are the only screens to go for IMO.

does the LG support PiP mode?

So.. for example i could have the 360 in 1 half and TV via Freeview in the other half?
Yep iirc. Not too sure about the internal Digital freeview though.

IYO. PC+1

Yes, the same for every single post ever made on a forum.

The R74 was £800 late last year, and is an extremely good TV and is an utter bargain for £500, it was one of the best when it was £800, and for the price it is now, it really can't be beaten when you look at it's competition for £500.

It didn't offer any of the features I wanted and has an annoying flicker, hardly hands down best is it?

Just feel like having an argument tonight do you? :p

What flicker?

You must have been watching a faulty set or source since it doesn't have any.

And what features does it lack that your suggestion has?

It's beaten quite comfortably by a couple of sets, notably the Toshiba 32WLT66, which as a £500 TV is one of the few to compete with the now, £800-£1000 TV sets.

Indeed, and from general reports, only in your opinion.

Who cares about reports or reviews, everyone is an expert on the internet...

It's first hand experience that counts, and the R74 looks damn good with a 360 via component and VGA, it's 32", looks good, the sound is quite good considering they're concealed speakers, it's a good design, and it's only £500.

The built in freeview is good and has a nice interface/menu system, it's easy to set up and calibrate, I've not encountered any problems or flaws with it, it's a good tv.

So I'm going to recommend it, got a problem with that?
