So i want a tablet, mainly for browsing the web, watching videos and playing the odd game.

Theres so many about i have no idea what a good spec even is tbh.
Im looking between £100 - £200.

Do i go for the LG, Samsung, Nexus, some random make for under £100?

Nexus 7 2013 can be had for £149 at the moment.. Its full HD and great specs... For that price its a no brainer.

Edit: its out of stock now at that price :(

Ive done a bit of looking around, the Nexus 7 comes with KitKat and Samsung Tab 3 comes with 4.2 but will get the 4.4 KitKat update shortly.

Nexus is newer and has more ram but a smaller screen. Decisions decisions!

N10 is really low on stock (only the 32gb is left in the UK) so if you want a cheap decent 10" then you better buy it quick, but it's out of your budget.

The Galaxy Tab 3 10.1" is not worth the money with those specs. Isn't this also out of your budget?

The Nexus 7 2013 is within budget and the screen is brilliant. I would be tempted to get this unless you feel a larger size will suit you better.

Where will you be using it? I've got an ipad 2 (9.7") and an ipad mini retina (7.9") one is great for home use and one is really great for taking out and out.

If you are going to be using it in 30 min stints out and about then a smaller tablet is much better. If it's at home then just go full-sized.

Mainly at home just on the sofa for browsing, social media and the odd bit of casual gaming.

I can go to the Nexus 10 price if i need to i just didnt want to originally lol, is the N7 really that much better spec wise? Ive read the N10 is the best 10" tablet out? but everything ive read about the N7 screams brilliant!

N10 was one of these best back in 2012, but technology has moved on, the Note 10.1 2014 edition is much better, followed by the Xperia Z tablet.

The N7 is the best 7" tablet. As well has having a high resolution the screen has been calibrated really well (the colours on the N10 does feel quite washed out).

It really depends on the size you prefer, I love using the N10 when I'm browsing the web/playing games, but in terms of portability it does feel on the big side. I have tested my housemate's N7 and web browsing is fine, though I feel it may be on the small side, but gaming on the other hand feels more comfortable.

In terms of hardware, the N7 should win on all counts. It's a fair bit newer, so naturally has the upper hand.

The N10 has the higher resolution screen, but the DPI on the N7 is higher due to the smaller size. I'm fairly confident that the S600 in the N7 is decently faster than the dual A15 SoC in the N10.

Personally, as I said, unless you specifically need a 10" tablet, then I'd go for the N7. As for the best 10" tablet, that would probably go to the Note 2014 edition; although it's the most expensive of the lot!

Oh I didn't know you had a price-point just thought you were asking which I'd recommend! I see no reason why you shouldn't go for the N10. Still has decent specs should cope with anything for a while!
