Spec me a tablet

Hi

I've never owned a tablet but since developing a penchant for poker my eyes have been strained playing on a smartphone!

I have a desktop pc (in sig) but in this weather temps at the desk hit the high 20s within the hour, plus it's nice to lounge on the sofa.

So that's the use (might also use it with a USB keyboard to type up work notes), I hardly think a power machine is in order but a largish clear display is a must.

Is there anything decent I can get for less than £100 or dare I say it even less?

Not if you want to install any apps and an iPad 2 is going to be painfully slow these days.

Amazon do a cheap Android tablet that is probably worth a look.

tablets are dying out tbh. the new fad is laptops which can also be used as tablets.

at your price point a brand new amazon tablet is the best way to go.

I got a Huawei MediaPad M5 after owning several iPads. I'm very impressed and the size is much better for watching videos or surfing the web for me, plus the SD expansion card makes the device much less expensive.

No OLED screen though, but I won't be buying another iPad unless something drastically changes.
