Get a maglite 6D torch. powerful and nice & heavy. Good to have around the house

So about £24 for that torch and free delivery to the UK? How long does it take? And will I have to pay some taxes/fees?
Any news on the pics? I'm ready to order. I'd just like some illustration of the power of this beast before I go ahead and order.

I know we all hate the "Spec me" threads but needs must!
For general use a head torch would probably be most useful, i never touch my "traditional" torches anymore. Doing anything like putting up a tent, cooking, walking with an ice axe, taking a dump are all things off the top of my head where free hands are useful

Woot! And free delivery. So this'd be quicker than buying from the States and the £7 difference in price might be worth it if buying from the States would get me having to pay charges for tax and import duties which would surely be more than £7?

I think it will still be cheaper from the USA. You'll get something like $1.85 = £1, so $48 = £26

$47.95 is £23.65 according to Xe.com. But if the import duties and taxes are going to be more than £11 then the £34 would be cheaper and quicker to get delivered.

I recommend a candle. Can start fires with it if you need. Can't do that with a torch.

Torch + magnifying glass and I fancy my odds.
How long do the batteries tend to last? Ideally I would want 3 hours at least on full flame!
