Spec me a flat screen Tv.


I would love a 42" My budget is "UPTO" £400 tops. Maybe a littleISH more.

42" being my preference but 32" i shall go for as getting a high quality 42" for £400 might be hard.

HD ofcourse no other real needs.

Oh NINJA edit - I would like it to have inbuilt freeview of somekind as where im living we do not have sky at the moment.

I think you might be on the wrong board mate.

But, having said that, if you're after something with built in freeview then keep your eyes open for freeview hd receivers ;)

Completely random question, but what does "spec me..." actually mean? Specify me? I always see it on here and have never bothered to ask before, and a Google search reveals nothing helpful...
 
Pretty sure it's specify me. On some of the other boards people make "spec me..." threads for new hardware, I guess that's where it comes from.
 
Argos are a bump the 42PJ6 costs 599 in argos.

Where as you can get it for 399.99 from LG electronics direct via amazon for example.

Highstreet storeslove using peoples ignorance against them the ones who dont look around get ripped the hell off. Anyway im still looking guys.


Add a nice 5.1 Surround system to this little spec me thread nothing fancy maybe another 100 or 200 pounds ontop of wha tim spending at most.

Will it be used as a PC monitor?

Will you be sitting less than 6 feet away?

Is the room intended for very brightly lit?

If no to the above, get a plasma :p

I wanted the LD450 myself but ended up with the PJ650 as for anything except PC input, it looked better IMO

6 feet about 4 and above.

No its not very brightly lit usualy lights off with a low light lamp shade on most of the time.


I wont be connecting the Pc up to it at all.


You know now its all a matter of size i need to go into store n compare sizes i dont want a 32 inch and it feel like its extremely small as i hav ea 24 inch pc monitor and 8 inches bigger for a tv doesnt seem that big but im sure when i go see it il feel different.


I want the LG but i saw a Samsung 32 that I could get within my budget and also spring for a 230 pound 5.1 surround system to use with the tv as my Main Technics deck systems down.

*cries* I cant fix it this time round :(
 
Just remembered there are two other things that the LD450 has going for it (neither were an issue for me).

Headphone socket and an analogue sound output, the PJ650 has optical out only.

I'd recommend going to a shop and comparing the two though, you may prefer the LCD to the Plasma.
 
Those are 2 things i would hardly care about lmao. I am going to go in and compare definately.

Im buying a 5.1 surround system to go with it so thats going to be fine optical out wise.
