Could someone spec me a CPU water block for under 100?
Was going to get a ek hf supreme full nikel but read a post about it flaking

I've got an EK HF Supreme and it's running flawlessly. I've rarely heard of them having any problems. It's one of the better blocks on the market.

Ek supreme HF, great block. Not seen any on the cpu blocks flaking was a few gpu blocks.

I had an EK it worked 100%. The only mod i did was take the base plate of and drill the passageway out so i got a better flow rate.

Swiftech Apogee XT Rev2. To be honest though, any of the following will be good as there's very little performance difference (less than 1°C):

-Koolance CPU-370
-EK Supreme HF
-Watercool Heatkiller 3.0 HF
-XSPC Rasa
-Swiftech Apogee XT Rev2
-Aqua Computer Cuplex Kyros

One thing to bear in mind is the mounting systems. Koolance and Swiftech (especially) have much better/easier mounting systems than EK for instance.

Ek supreme comes with a newer mount these days, easy mount and it looks nicer too.

thanks for all the replys think i will go with the ek supreme hf, is there any diffence between the full nikel version and the full copper version other than appeerance.

Identical, nickel one is just plated and will stay shiney the copper one will tarnish over time.

If you mean the under side yes but the top no, mines about 10 months old, l just dust it of with a brush, but it could be laquered.

i am going to use distilled water but shall i use a silver kill coil or pt-nuke to stop corrosion? are the non conductive fluids any good?

will i be able to fit two 1/4" BSPP - 1/2" ID - 3/4" OD Compression Fittings onto the EK-Supreme HF - Full Nickel CPU Water Block , just to double check that "Primochill tubing PrimoFlex Pro 19/13 (1/2\"ID) UV-active blue" will fit with them compression fittings

I use the very same tubing with 1/2id 3/4od compressions on my supreme hf full nickel with no problems, there is a couple of mm clearance between the compressions.

thanks could you tell me what temps you are getting and what rad you are using?

Heres some temps at 4.2ghz was recent so ambient was fairly warm in the 20's, temps peaked at 65 on core 1 (have since readjusted my pressure on that side of the cpu as it was not equal and made core 1 a degree or 2 hotter) with usual range of 62-63 degrees. Using a hw labs sr1-420 rad (3x140mm) with d14sl fans (1000rpm). Pump is a d5 vario on speed 2, gpu is also in the same loop.
