I'll get things started with a quick run down of the situation.

House is being decorated and the phone socket is on the bottom floor. Currently the extention runs up through the bathroom flooring then up to the third floor. The bathroom floor and walls are being tiled so it can't run through there anymore, and it would be ugly/awkward to run it upstairs any other way. Here's some more info on the current system and some basic facts.

Router/ADSL modem/Firewall: D-Link DSL 504-T
Two PCs in seperate rooms (both require access)
Signal must pass up through two floors into two seperate bedrooms

I'm not too bothered about possibly buying a WiFi setup which also has a built in modem/router/firewall and not using my current router, however it will need a minimum of 4ports.

Thanks for any advice and help, i'm new to the whole wireless thing.

Linksys WAG54GX + network cards. Everything you could want for ADSL in a box.

4X 10/100 ethernet LAN
125Mbps WirelessG
WPA,WEP,WPA2, MAC filtering. The works
twin aerials
Web filtering
DMZ
5 VPN IPSEC tunnels
VPN passthrough
linux based IOS - allows 3rd party firmware.
Onboard memory for storing/loading alternate config files.
LAN/Wireless/WAN management toggleable
SPI Firewall
DoS protection
QoS......

Bucket loads of things to play with :)

The Router/Modem looks spot on, have you got any recommendations for the cards?

Linksys GS series are required for 125mbit speed booster. You can also get bundles including the cards which tend to work out cheaper.
