i've got a uniross sprint and it some times doenst cut out automatically, the batteries just get very hot! the 2700 nimh's it came with though are excellent hold thier charge very well

super fast chargers are the work of satin, batteries should be charged slowly then they'll run for longer and longer life span

I use the energizer 15 minute charger and it has been excellent, you see them for £20 with x4 2200 mAh batteries. Make a cup of tea while they charge and you are good to go. It has a fan built in to stop overheating and also trickle charges so you cant fry the battery. Thumbs up. :)

Thanks for the info guys.

Checkout Ansmann. Most chargers aren't delta peak.

I've been looking at this, most chargers seem to be negative delta V.

is (+deltaV, -deltaV, 0 deltaV)
much better? I resume that detects if the battery somehow goes over volts?
And stops when delta V is 0, before you start overcharging? so why does it also need -deltaV?

A delta peak constantly monitors the battery, once the voltage tops off then it it stops the charge. Having a NINH on fast charge all night without switching off (and they will get hot) is a good way to kill them.

Model plane chargers usually have flexible settings, you can can set the delta settings (ie 10mv for NINH, 5mv for NICD) and battery pack capacity and cell count.

Ansmann energy 8 charger is what I have for all my 2700mah AA's for my camera. About £40-ish

Well worth it. Was going to get the top of the range, but at £70!!!!!!

That's the one I have, can charge 12 AA's plus four PP3's at the same time, all cells are individually charged, unlike the cheaper chargers that charge two cells. So if one is charged, the other isn't it'll charge both for 4-8 hours, resulting in a damaged cell.

This should clearly win the thread, the ability to charge cells individually is excellent

Thats exactly what the charger i bought and suggested does! However mine falls into his budget and comes with 4 2500mAh AA's.
Pound 4 pound it's the best AA / AAA charger money can buy.... Period.... ;-)

Here is my mucho cheap battery charger.

It does the job so im not complaining as i was able to buy more rechargable batteries. :)
