Sorry, I just wound up when people seem to think every tattoo has to have a meaning.

All seemed to be made worse when Miami Ink etc started being shown, as everyone on those programs had lost their mum, dad or fish and were getting a tattoo to remember them by.

Just ranting really, I apologise.

Hahaha, I know what you mean. I think the same thing too when I watch Miami/LA/NY Ink. I bet they do some awesome tattoos that don't have any meaning to them, but sadly we do not get to see them.

I have a sleeve, you truly think every single bit of that sleeve has a meaning? Sure some of my tattoos do have a meaning.

I have the quote "Dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die today" on my arm as my girlfriend who passed away when we were both 18, had it on her mirror.

But plenty of my other tattoos do not.

Tattooist's are artists remember! Go into a few and they will probably be able to draw up a few ideas for you, be better than something you just pulled from google images IMO.

Yeah I planned to speak to the lass doing the tattooing, she is an award winning artist anyway, just thought I would trawl the net first to see if there was already anything around I could use as a visual aid.

No.

I'll know what I want or have an idea of what I want, I tell the tattoo artist and he puts something together for me, I say yes or no or make changes as required.

I'm sure some people do just walk in and pick something out and get it done.

FYI a sleeve in the context of a tattoo is your arm from shoulder to wrist tattooed, or a half sleeve is half of that obviously.
