Mostly for commuting (already been stung with a fraudulent insurance claim) Maybe a little for track days. Less than £200.

Read the just yesterday locked thread on a possible group buy, not that there will be a group buy but those cameras are recommended!
 
On the subject of that deleted group buy, could this be run via Elfster or something similar so forum members can opt in if they want to but it is not done through the forum?

That would still be a group buy arranged via the forums. The issue is that as with previous group buys, some members felt they were being ripped off by the arranger of the group buy. Due to the amount of hassle it causes I can fully understand why they are not allowed on the forums.
 
So if a group buy is being run elsewhere it is not permitted to post about it on here, even if it's just saying that on xyz forum there is a group buy of such and such an item?
 
Can someone lInk the website from yesterday, not for group buy purposes. I think it was something 300 or 400 with gps.

Presumably there is no legal dimension to filming as you go?
 
I bought a dod gse520 recently. Is quite good but a little naff at night... may upload some vids tomorrow... or today rather.

I can't speak for the admin's viewpoint on it as obviously I am not one, but running via Elfster and posting about it on here in the way Elfster works would still be run via the forums, just using Elfster for the list of people included.

As to linking to other group guys, iirc that is allowed but then they are usually arranged on another forum and someone says 'oh I saw this and people here might be interested' rather than 'lol I'll run it from x forum and link ocuk to it to get around rules' - which is what you're implying.

A general good rule would be to just avoid group buys on this forum completely though, if they are not allowed why bother to try and circumvent the rules. :)
