Hi guys,
I work on a golf course and also manage their website and thought it would be a good idea to have a 'live feed' on the website which overlooks the course. My question is, what sort of camera should i go for? Baring in mind i want a decent quality image, but, as always! They dont want to spend the earth. I dont mind if its wired, or wireless. Or even second hand.
Thanks

It's difficult; lots of IP webcams are really crap. I think one of the best quality/price ration is the Foscam -- but it's VGA and the image quality is not excellent. It's pan/tilt tho...

If you are a bit of a geek, you can instead buy a good "HD" USB cam, and install a server on a small PC to share it on the LAN instead. That'll give you a much better range of cams to choose from. I currently use a few QuickCam 9000 Pro, and these do 1600x1200 images of pretty good quality (only 5fps, but pretty good frames!)

Thanks for your reply. What sort of camera would i need to give me something like the quality of this? http://kingsbarns.com/live-webcam/webcam-info (you'll need to wait till morning to view it! hehe) Baring in mind, i would probably need to mount it outside so an external one, or a an external case for the camera would be essential.
This might sound like a silly question, but we have some high quality security cameras connected to a 1TB DVR. Would there be any way of connecting one of them to a small server and then broadcasting it on our website? If so, what extra equipment would i need?
Thanks
