Somehow I've been put in charge of trying to sort out a new security camera system for work, but in short, I've got no idea where to start. I've got a few requirements for the system so I'm looking to the geniuses of OCUK for some advice on what would be the best system for the job.

1) Live streaming needs to be available over IP.
2) There needs to be an outdoor camera option.
3) The cameras need to have some kind of low light/night mode to them.
4) Picture quality needs to be good, it's doesn't need to be HD, but as long as the picture is clear and certain details can be picked out then it's fine.
5) A good PC software suite to look after multiple camera's and record & time-stamp footage.
6) Not cost a million pounds :D

So, is anyone up for the challenge of helping me out? Thanks!

Y-Cam Bullet. Vitamin D for software.

Just a question, does Vitamin D have the ability to view the cameras over the internet? Or do you use another method for that? Vitamin D itself looks really good, but I'm not sure if the cameras support their own internet viewing or if Vit D will conflict with their normal control software.

Vitamin D is pretty basic tbh. But it is very good at people recognition and recording. For live viewing over the internet you can just connect to the camera directly, it has it's own browser interface. You just need to set up the port forwarding etc.

Ok cool, sounds good. If that's the case I might just write a basic web page to link them all together for the ease of simplicity. Thanks a lot for that, I've passed the information on so I'll wait and see what they decide on now.
