Spec me an iPhone data usage app

Hi all,

My girlfriend keeps exceeding her data allowance and I'm wondering if there's an iPhone app out there which will tell her/me which app is using all her data.
I can find plenty that are designed to tell you when you are near your limit but none that can do it per app.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Most providers provide their own, for example i use "your orange app" on my iphone and it tracks my data and calls accurate to within 48hours.

And is that per app or over all? Per app is what I'm looking for to identify what's using so much data!

No not per app its used so you can keep an eye on the overall data so you dont get charged, pretty sure all the current one are the same never seen one that does per app

You can see data usage in settings, you don't need an app for it

That is just for sent and received not what hes after

Oh ok, I though it did MB too, like someone else said, most networks have their own usage apps, I know O2 and 3 do

Like I said there are lots of apps that do overall usage. I'm looking for one to break I down per app.

I don't think one exists, it's probably facebook being constantly on or something

If you install onavo it will show you app by app usage, but you will need to enable its data saving mode which does route all your Internet via their servers to compress it.

Yeah I saw that, not too sure about how I feel just giving access to all my data to a third party like that.

Hmm, I searched long time via Google and of course found some nice list of iPhone apps, such as:

But didn't find a decent app can accurate count the data...

Wasn't aware of that as I have no need of hotspot feature and it's ludicrously expensive on Vodafone anyway!

Otherwise I've found onavo great.

Another +1 for Onavo here but sometimes the pics are too blurry so you end up wanting to push it back up for good quality which nulls the point in having it.

Good app though and recommend for 96.73% of most uses
