Right, i'm currently running with Tiscali on there 8meg unlimited package, unfortunately i used the bandwidth i'd paid for so they've put me on a restricted bandwidth package (naff all in the evening and what i assume is 256k daytimes)

I've got my MAC code, i just need to find somebody to give it to! :)

Tried searching the thinkbroadband site but i can't get it to load (neither does pipex), i get bored after 4 minutes waiting for the page to load :( so i can't actually do a search on the site :(

I'm looking for a package that will let me DL 10-15 gig a month, uber-speed isn't all that important, anything has go to be better than the psudo-dialup i'm on right now.

Thanks

Don't go Pipex... I too am on an "unlimited" package, but they now cap my speeds because I'm in their "heavy user" group (more than 10 GB per month - wtf??), even though they have introduced the fup after I signed up with them.

omg Tiscali are so ****. im on 2mb unlimited and past few months our connection has been riddled with connection drops, slow speeds and billing errors (asked them to change our price plan 3 months ago as we are paying too much) they still havent changed it!

on a slightly tighter budget though £15, £20 max but it will have to be unlimited.
anyone know if eclipse internet are any good?

There's no such thing as "unlimited" in the true sense anymore. Every ISP has either a download cap or a fup or is port throttling/traffic shaping.

You just have to chose the one which impacts you less. I moved from Eclipse as they traffic shape Peer2Peer and generally it was a shoddy service.

For £20 you could get the 30/300 UKFSN/ADSL24 package.

ok thanks, adsl24 was my next option, that 30/300 package did look good, hows the support and service? much downtime? any throttling?
