They'll easily have a 10hr battery life, even the psp lasts that long playing mp3s and thats saying something.

New ones are quoted at 24 hours, not 10 as the old ones

so over 10 hours battery life
plays mp3 files
dont have to use itunes

think i might get myself an ipod nano then, unless i can find a creative M for cheap :D

20GB is a bit overkill for what i need, thats the reason i am selling the 40GB one i have got, i have a 100GB external HDD to store my music on then i just want something small to carry round with me while im on the bus etc

Sansa Sandisk E2xx range from 2-8Gb PLUS a Micro-SD slot so you can expand as money/needs grow.

I'm well impressed with it and it's reasonable on video playback for something so small and sound quality is ecxcellent through decent 'phones.

Size of a Nano and cheaper/more capable :)

PS: You might want to buy a US version on eBay and get the FM tuner. For some reason the UK ones don't do FM !!! Standard recharge is by USB so no voltage isues !!!

Well now I say look at the iRiver H10. Said before that I had one and I liked it other than its teething issues. Should be a fair bit cheaper than what I paid for it now too. It's the sexiest player I've had, in Red of course heh.

The iRiver H10 is perhaps one of the poorest players they relased - sound quallity and functions are subpar to rest of iRiver range!

they aren't so bad lol. they were good value for money for a while, but they don't seem to have dropped in price much at all. they weren't as good with the SQ as the older iriver range, you're correct. But remember at the time, they were better than virtually everything else at that price point when they were released, especially the ipods:)

the are still decent players, and rockbox are making huge advancements with the player now:) if you can get one cheap enough, id still recommend them:)

Never had a previous iRiver so couldn't compare. I thought the SQ was at least as decent as most other players...that's in the ears of the beholder anyway.
