Currently played through Skyrim, The Witcher series, Borderlands series, Mass Effect series and now I'm stuck, I tried the Two Worlds series but I've seen turds on the road that look more entertaining to play with :p

Any other good RPG's out there that will get me hooked ?

Any info is appreciated :)

Dragon Age 1 + 2? 2 is a let down after 1 but by itself it's still a decent game, and Inquisition comes out soon so you wouldn't have to wait long for a 3rd.

Awesome recommendation thank you, I only ever played Origins on the PS3 and only got half way through as my PS3 died on me.

Well if you enjoyed Skyrim and The Witcher a lot, you may actually prefer 2 over 1, and 1 is amazing to anyone who enjoys RPGs.

If you own Two Worlds 2, there's no reason to stop you having a laugh with it. Not necessarily to complete it or bother with any real questing/progression, but the magic system is more than worth a few hours of messing around with. If you're not convinced, look on Google for 'Two Worlds 2 magic' and watch some videos.

Divinity 2 is the most fun I've had this generation from an RPG, but it's quite low on production value, the voice acting is hit and miss and the animations in general are awful. The quests are pretty nice though and the story is fairly intriguing (awful cutscenes though!). You can morph into a dragon at any time. :p There's around 100 hours in there if you're a completionist.

Mount & Blade is a great game, preferably look up Warband with the Floris mod. It's not a traditional RPG, it plays a little bit like a board game in how you travel, but it has quests and tons of factions. Floris improves the diplomacy tenfold and the battles themselves are awesome and the game features really good character levelling and progression with unique companions you can find and recruit. You can eventually create your own faction with multiple armies lead by people you've managed to either turn to your cause from other factions or personal friends you make in the beginning of the journey. It sounds weird but believe me there is a tasty RPG underneath the strange combination of genres.

There are others, but nothing sticks to my mind at the minute, sorry mate.

EDIT: Dark Souls, jesus how can I forget that. Amazing game, has the best combat and char progression you'll find to date. The graphics are the best in the genre besides The Witcher and you'll find it cheap on PC somewhere. You'll need DSfix though, but it's the simplest mod to install and use. You'll also pretty much need an xbox 360 controller for Windows, so if you haven't got that you may want to skip it. Totally worth picking up a used controller for though, or even brand new depending on how much money you've got to play with. I'd go more in depth about it but most of the fun about the game is it's mystery as you play through it.

EDIT EDIT: And Kingdoms of Amalur, it's like what Fable should have been, with added mature content. The combats great but it's a little easy and generic. There's a ton of content but none of it is memorable, it can even feel like a bit of an MMO-like grind at some points. If you still own a console, Dragon's Dogma is a great title, got it on PS+ recently and abysmal framerate issues aside, the games great. Very Shadow of the Collosus like, but with proper RPG elements. It's a Japanese game too, so it has awesome Jap voice overs and a strong Monster Hunter vibe.

Man this genres a little oversaturated coming to think of it, there are still tons others. :p

Yeah, Two Worlds was a turd. But I wasn't a fan of any of the other games u listed above, except of course The Witcher series, with the Witcher 2 in particular being excellent.

My recommendation for you however, is Risen.

If you like that, then you may be interested in the old Gothic games. Perhaps starting with Gothic II, if there is limit to how 'old' a game you can tolerate. If you get as far as Gothic III, be sure to get the latest community update patch and the other main community add-on's as well. Without those, Gothic III is a train wreck, but all fixed up, Gothic III is a sublime work of art. A massive seamless free roaming world with dozens of towns, villages, farms, castles, caves, secret islands and a cracking over-arching storyline that leads to three possible endings depending for which god you do your bidding. Unlike Skyrim, the massive Gothic landscape is packed to the brim with interesting nooks and crannies, treasure (that actually means something), Orcs, baddies, allies, monsters, dangerous beasts, and just plain old beasts. In Skyrim, all the action takes place in any given one of a bazillion different generic dungeons and/or in the cordoned off towns. In Gothic, the action happens on a living breathing landscape of which the towns and caves are just an equal part of.....amazing game!

Also to give you an idea of where I am coming from. In the games you listed above, one my (many gripes) was that the characters were all fagg0ts. Except of course in the Witcher, where the characters have a more European story telling flavour to them.....same thing in Gothic (and Risen) games.

(if u check out Gothic games, ignore Gothic 4...it aint the real thing)

I'd start at the beginning and say Fallout 1 and 2...ignore Fallout Tactics.

OK they are getting on now and the graphics are a bit creaky and there's little spoken dialogue but they are utterly fantastic games.

If you are getting Fallout 2 make sure to get the megamod for it froms modsdb.com, it fixes loads of minor bugs and fills out some clipped storylines.

You will appreciate playing them if you do get Fallout 3 and New Vegas, which I highly recommend, my favourite game series by far.

Hardly in the same league as most good RPG's.

It IS a good RPG.

If you mean "a different genre to traditional RPGs" then you might be nearer the point. It is both a good game and an RPG.

I did point out in my initial post that it's an ARPG, a fairly well-defined subgenre, and most people with some familiarity will know that that usually means less lore-based questing and conversational character development, more action, and for an ARPG it has a very extensive skill system for character development.
