Spec me an SSD

I have an old s775 motherboard which I will be upgrading when BD comes out (I don't know if I will be going Intel or AMD until I see what BD can do).

However I would like an SSD now for my OS and a few games that I will be able to carry over into the new build. My absolute limit is £200.

What does OCUK have for me?

Thread high jack. I am looking for some advice as well, nothing too big just enough for OS and 2/3 games (no point in putting WoW on there as its fat enough already).

WOW benefits massively from being on a SSD, but it certainly does take up a bit of space 25.1GB with my fresh installation. so with win7 and wow Ive got 23.7GB free out of 74.5GB on an Intel 80GB and thats with the libraries on a different drive

Although 64 GB SSDs are fine for a lot of people, you don't want to buy one and then regret not being able to fit your current or future games on it.

If your budget is £200, I'd go for a Crucial M4 128 GB or Vertex 3 120 GB. The M4 is cheaper and doesn't use compression so would in theory be better for games (which are usually mainly heavily compressed files these days) but the Vertex 3 is faster in some other aspects so it depends what you want. Check some benchmarks to make a decision (note that IOPS and 4k results are probably the most important for OS and application "snappiness").

Nice highjack, helped a lot thanks =)

WoW is a pain, it benfits a lot from being on a Solid State but takes up around 30GB, which is just horrible.
