I have an old s775 motherboard which I will be upgrading when BD comes out (I don't know if I will be going Intel or AMD until I see what BD can do).

However I would like an SSD now for my OS and a few games that I will be able to carry over into the new build. My absolute limit is £200.

What does OCUK have for me?

+1 for the M4. Got one a couple of weeks ago and it's caused me no trouble whatsoever and it's very fast. Restarting my computer isn't a complete annoyance anymore due to how fast it boots up. Just know you'll drop around 120MB/s read speed when you're using it with that oard due to it being a SATA-III drive.

with all the BSOD's the vertex and agility 3s are giving i can only recommend the crucial M4

Does anyone know what the chances of having a problem with the Vertex 3 is?

Also given that games and other apps are not optimized for SSD's yet will I notice much difference in the extra speed between the Vertx 3 and the M4? And do you think the Vertex is likely to be much more future proof?

I know that I will be confined by the SATA-II but it will only be for the next two months or so (Unless BD is further away than that -.-)
