So my trusty windows drive is slowly dying a horrible and painful death. Random F4 code bluescreens and the system will pause for 1-2 sec randomly like its trying to read something from the drive but struggling.

Looking to get a new SSD but I haven't been following the tech for a good few years now. I mean I have a vertex3 which were released in 2011 apparently, so I'm completely in the dark with whats a good deal and what is current tech.

Looking for pointers, aiming for around 120gb as it's only a windows drive in the end, but I'll up the capacity if it's better value.

Thx

I was lookin at those crucial drives. They reliable? Seems like I have really bad luck with SSD's as they supposed to have 100000's of hours but I only use my PC for a few hours a day and had two SSD's die on me.

its gonna be far more reliable than an ocz ssd put it that way

crucial are one of the most reliable,

Samsung, crucial, intel all safe bets, even an old corsair force gt ssd im using is still going well

I'm currently using a Samsung evo and a SanDisk extreme. Happy with both to be honest. I've had crucial in the past that were very good. Will probably try Intel next just because.
