Seeing as my last SSD died under warranty but yet wasn't able to claim I'm back looking for an SSD in the £50-60 range for OS and games.

Based on price and reviews I have narrowed it down to the SK Hynix or the Crucial B/M X100 range.

Spec wise I'm not sure which is the better deal. When it comes to Sequential Read and Write speeds is higher better?

The SSD that I previously had was the MX100 and would consider Crucial again despite previous experience if it is the better value for money.

Thanks.

could try another mx100 if your brave?

next decent alternative would be a Samsung 850? or maybe a crucial mx200?

Those are way out of my budget sadly. Due to not having much like with SSDs so far I don't want to spend a lot in case it dies on me again.

If it was my choice I would go for this:

It has faster read and write speeds for a fiver more than your £50-60 budget though.

Meant to put my budget at £40-50 as on a bit of a tight budget after what happend the last time. Could be tempted for how much extra it is though. Will check out some reviews on it.

SK Hynix not worth considering then? The read and write speeds look similar to the cheaper Crucial ones but a tenna cheaper.
