Yeah I know that. The atmos model wasn't out when I bought mine or it was but it was priced at £1600.
I wanted to spend a lot less as it was for bedroom and I already have proper set up in living room. So if i wanted to experience cinema sound I go to living room for that. Where my real surround system which I can upgrade with atmos upfiring kef's if i wanted resides.
Regardless yamaha make really good soundbars at most price points.
