Spec me better than I have !!

4.4Ghz thats crazy,
But i presume thats a max figure, What would be a 24/7 rock stable figure ?

Jony27 come on,, it will OC to 4.4 with no probs at all :D
God i would love that, but ok lets say it has the stock cooler what ya talking then ?

Read somewhere else, that using its onboard GPU might even be better than using my HD4870, Not even sure how to take that lol

oh right, your not using a 3rd party cooler. missed that :D
i would probably keep it at stock or maybe 3.5/6GHz
i would use the 4870, link to this "somewhere" please.

Sorry cant link, it was a friend that said he read it on the net, but i did think he was talking poo:p

I plan on using Gelid Tranquillo CPU Cooler, but still dont want to push too much.

With the Gelid 4.2GHz is a piece of ****. You may not even have to change the stock voltage to get that.

Can anyone advise on the motherboards listed !!

I have done some reading up on the two MSI/Gigabyte
But seems to be a bit of trouble with the voltage control on gigabyte, are all the gigabyte boards like this now ?

The MSI, seen posts with a few people having probs too although not with voltage.
Just finding it hard to trust MSI as never used them, and know so little about this one.

Just want to make sure i get a good board, have always chose gigabyte in the past, but that voltage control has put me off, as I do intend to OC.

Sorry if im making this post longer than it needs be, but better to be sure than to kick myself & regret it

maybe all the gigabyte boards are like this i dont know!!

Q.1
even if I had to spend just a little more, would you change the 2 above thats already been recomended to me ?

I want to OC,
I would like to have fan speed/temp control in bios (no software rubbish)

I keep pushing this combo on people I know but its what I have and at the moment I'm 100% happy with it.

Currently:

Thats with a Lanboy Air, all fans on low. As you can see, voltage is around 1.25, I think I could squeeze it lower if I tried but right now I'm happy with that.

The four hours you see there consisted of a lot of gaming, Killing Floor, MW2, EQ2, L4D2 all on the highest settings with absolutely no problems what so ever.

I'm very impressed with the board but there is only one downside and that is that it isnt sli/crossfire enabled.

I've been told that CPU cooler isn't so great these days but its not doing me wrong, though I'd shop around. Infact I'm going to make a thread! Yep, I'm gunna do it!

Cheers ToejaMz0r :)

Does that board have the, fan/temp control in the bois, hate seperate software to bloat the system.
