Spec me: Game like CoD WaW Zombies?

CoD WaW is too expensive for me just wanting to have a little blast shooting some zombies in a horde manner.

Are there any games like this? Darker/ more atmospheric the better. Ideally the game wants to be simple, straight forward and not over the top, which a lot of zombie games seem to be. Indie games are welcome.

State of Decay 2 or Dying light might be your cup of tea.

Zombie Trilogy if you can find it cheap enough will give you hours and hours of Zombie blasting.
Zombie Army 4 is just released.

Forget State Of Decay 2 go State of Decay 1 and all the DLC and use a few mods (like the Walking Dead mod) its much better.

another vote for killing floor 2, a very underappreciated game imo

Graphics might be a bit dated now compared to some games, but tripwire put out pretty regular updates. IMO their seasonal updates are better than any other game. There's a pretty dedicated community making customs maps so theres plenty of content. There was a little controversy where they added some weapons you had to buy.

If you find a nice community server with regulars its awesome, takes me back to the old days of CS 1.6 community servers.
