Spec me gaming keyboard/mouse

Why do people even create mice that doesnt have detents on the scroll wheel?

I bought a mouse for my parents a while back, it doesnt have any increments on the scroll and it's the worst thing i've ever used

People kept recommending the Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0, so I decided to try one out but I just couldn’t get used to it as it was way to light & even after a weeks use my precision in FPS has degraded & this was with changing the speed settings to different variations. Note: The Intellimouse has a standard 450 DPI - fact.

I've ended up going back to my Logitech G5 with its 800 DPI as standard which can be adjusted lower or higher I get better accuracy, also noting that the weight can be adjusted i.e. I put more weights into mine.

Would I recommend any mouse? No! Because at the end of the day it's down to personal preference, their is so many variables i.e. Shape/comfort, weight, dpi precision etc to take into consideration.

My advice is try & test out a few difference makes/models if possible, either at friends or maybe in the shops.

As for keyboards, again its down to preference - do you want to spend a fortune on a keyboard that you wont use all the features, if not then just a bog standard keyboard would suffice for less than £10, I would choose one with a nice large wrist pad. I have used the Microsoft Reclusa & personally speaking the wrist rest is too small - thats just an opinion.
