Have around £150 to spend on a graphics card. Running a i3 3220 at the moment with Windows 7 Home premium.....Dont really want to spend much more than around £150.

Cheers :)

I believe there already was not long ago a thread about GPU for around £150 so you might want to look for it.

Now on topic, in that price range you are looking at 7870/R270X if you don't want anything 2nd hand.

How long would something a 7870 last for? As in, how long before it's waay out of date? Cheers for the suggestion though.

With 7870 you will be capable of playing games like bf4 and the upcoming ones at 1080p with high settings some on medium maybe considering you will want average of 60fps.

I doubt that it would last you all that long unless you don't mind playing on high/medium, medium or medium/low ofc. If you want something that will play you anything on ultra/high settings for a long time i.e. 2-3 years or possibly more. Then you are looking at the top of the charts where the price goes nuts pretty much and a CPU upgrade would only add to it.

Difficult to tell at this point how long it will actually last you since I don't really know what performance demand for next gen games will be.

The i3 will be a problem for newer games, even with a 7870/270X. That is the best card for £150 though.

What card do you have currently?
