Spec me hardrive cloning software

I'm about to replace my C drive, an M2 SSD with a larger one. However, I don't want to reinstall windows. Can anyone recommend some good software for creating an image of my drive, then restoring it from USB to the new drive?

Yes good progie but ouch at the price for a home edition :eek:

Too expensive imo,I would pay£20-£25 but £47.95 is too much
I will keep using the free edition for the occasional clone I need to perform

I paid for the full home version after it made my move from HDD to SDD an absolute doddle. Don't remember it being £47 though.

Just do a fresh install and save £50. A fresh install takes about an hour including install software and drivers.

Free edition is fine, it is a superb product that does just about everything a home user needs. Full differences here but essentially all a home users loses over the paid version is incrementals (but you get differentials) and rapid restore. Other features such as dynamic disk support only apply to very few home users.

It's a good idea to keep your system backed up regardless.

Sure, Clonezilla works, but it doesn't take a backup every day that my PC is on. Macrium does it quietly in the background

Thats a really interesting product, how does it work, do you just plug in 2 Hdds (or SSDs) and then push button clone?

Why? I wouldn't lose any important data from the OS drive. Worst case scenario it takes couple of hours.
