Spec me my new computer build

I want to build a desktop that has an intel i7 950 (stock, i wont overclock it) 6 gb of ram and 2 gigabyte gtx 460 super oc 1 gb or a 580 gtx card, what are the specs that i need and would i use two sli gtx 460 or 1 gtx 580. the budget of the case+monitor without the keyboard and mouse is 1500 GBP. thanks in advance.

The above looks a good spec, you seem to know what you want, but in order to make sure that this is the best selection of components for you, could you tell us what you plan on using the PC for? As there may be better alternatives

Def wait and see what Sandybridge brings, it could even save you a few quid as prices are bound to drop a little with the Sandybridge release.

build looks good. don't think it's really worth waiting for sandy bridge if it's a gaming pc your after. also, i doubt you'd end up making a saving anyway what with vat rises as well.

What do u think of getting the antec 902 case+asus sabertooth motherboard and a 750 psu.and don't I need a cpu cooler like the h70 or because I'm not overclocking I don't need it? Thanks fot the feedback.in my contry I don't have an ocuk gtx 580, I live in lebanon.what other manufacturer do u recommand asus or gigabyte...and if this site delivers the goods here,anyone knows the cost.

An extra 2.5% vat on a two/three hundred pound processor, will be quite a bit. Just go for it fell
