Wow fantastic price! Bargain. If buying multiple PC's for office (especially on behalf of somebody) I'd always be inclined to buy prebuilt, it'd just be way too much hassle if you need to troubleshoot or have DOA components.

I get what you mean, but if they are all the same you'll have multiples of everything, which frankly makes troubleshooting a breeze. ;)

Nice!

2GB is a bit wimpy, but if there is something that should be straight forward to upgrade in a OEM, it's the memory. Then again, 2GB should be enough for office work.

I think 2GB DDR3 will be more than enough for windows 7 in an office environment. Might buy another just for home, and slam 8GB ram in there just for browsing and stuff.

Yeah 2GB will be fine in Windows 7 and for browsing and basic work but may as well get 8GB for your own system seeing as it's so cheap at the moment. Could you message me in trust wheree you bought it from, Google skills have failed me this morning. Thanks.

I have 2GB in my office computer, and I run a variety of software packages, for example -

Office - Excel, Access & Word.

SAP Business Objects.

Oracle SQL Developer.

Personally, for me, 2GB isn't enough, since the system runs out of RAM fairly easily when under heavy use. But I've got to make do.. As do most office workers.. :'(

According to the back of the box for Sage Line 50 2012, the suggested RAM for 64-bit O/S is 4GB as opposed to 1GB for XP 32-bit.

If they are using the latest Sage, you may not have enough RAM for smooth running.

Also wireless for Sage could be a worry, if the database is on a server or hosted on one machine. When I tried it a couple of years ago, any drop in the throughput would lag the system, and if the wireless drops for any reason, you are going to start getting database errors.

Ram is an easy fix though, could stick in a 4gb module easy enough depending on what combinations all ready in it. Getting them tommorrow so will see, will more than likely have to uninstall all the preloaded junk.

Wireless is there problem, im just doing him a favour saving him some money from buying from PC world. If wireless is problamatic they will have to go wires.
