Spec me please?

it fits in the same position behind the front fan bolts through the existing holes, but yes small modification required to area above the rad.
if modification isnt your thing, just stick a 120, or a 140 rad down there, but i wouldnt recomend running a 240 on its own, you could even stick a 120mm rad on the rear fan mount external.

Cant a loop system like this be done?
COLOR]

i take it you want to keep the drive bays in at the bottom?
of course it can be done, but i'd be concerned about temps if running the setup you said you wanted and plan to overclock.

I think anything under a water cool loop is better than a air cooler...

Now is anyone able to give me the equipment id need to make the loop as shown above?

Don't think a 280 will fit, a 240 will
there are mounting holes for 2x 140mm fans on the top grill(as well as 2x120mm and 1x 200mm), so i dont see why it wouldnt, but i wouldnt like to say for sure as i've never tried it, not sure what the clearance would be like to the motherboard and top drive bays.

Thats why I was asking, I can't seem to get a concrete yes or no though. Would have thought more people would have tried it as I heard 280 rads are as good as 360 rads.

not really, they're not that far off, but not close either

If you look at this thread here and scroll down a bit you will see that after testing, the 280 rad actually beats the 360. Maybe because of surface area?

Surely if this is the case most people would be opting for a 280 rad for the 650d?

Would love it if someone could post a pic of that setup!

That's because they're comparing two different rads ;)
