After much reading around on laptops and VR I am admitting defeat and calling on you for help!! Would like to get recommendations for a laptop that will also be good for VR. Will likely be buying second hand so if you have a guide price I should be aiming for that would be appreciated. I'm looking at 1060 and 1070 options, to go along with a Rift.
I know I would get more for my money with the desktop route and personally would prefer to self build, but a level of portability is important for a harmonious family life!
I guess budget is between £600 and £900 for laptop, any savings are a bonus!

For 900 you can get a 1070 laptop easy, try the bay you're looking at 6700HQ,7700HQ or even 7820HK which is the best option.

The Aorus X5 V7 I have (check sig) goes for around that, runs at 4GHz all cores (downvolt/repaste needed), you'll either find 4k of QHD screen mind you the QHD screen is more than adequate for a 15.6" laptop.

I would say a GTX1070 at a minimum to be honest, however I've never used VR so I can't really give an exact opinion on it.
