Spec me some CAT6

Hi All

I am about to re-wire part of the house. I want to eventually have 1080p over HDMI baluns.

I am looking around for some CAT6, which I can lay myself, before everything is plastered over, and will then connect up to patch plates later. It will be running indoors, and outdoors ( outdoors in a conduit with adequate protection ) .

What type should I go for , STP ? UTP ? solid core . . . . . . . all so confusing !

Stp solid core. Use stranded for the patch leads
